Hyposwiss was founded in Solothurn in 1889 as the Schweizerische Hypothekenbank. Over the years, vision and continuity enabled Hyposwiss to develop into an investment consulting and asset management specialist. Between 1981 and 2002 Hyposwiss was a subsidiary of UBS, during which time it grew into a successful and prestigious private bank with national and international customers.
Since 2002 St.Galler Kantonalbank has owned Hyposwiss in Zurich and since 2008 Hyposwiss in Geneva outright.
