The Cantonal Bank of Basle (BKB) is an universal bank active in Basle region, wheras private and commercial banking are its core services. BKB is an institution under public law with states garantee and an AA+ rating from S&P. Since 2000 BKB is the main shareholder of Coop Bank which is active in all Switzerland. Der Konzern BKB positioniert sich als faire Bank. Both institutes' claim is "fair banking".
