5,000 Website visitors per month

Which search terms do private investors google?

Our search portal, Switzerbank.com, attracted some 3,000 individual visitors the first month, and already over 5,000 the second month. 90 percent of the visitors found our search portal by googling ‘Vermögensverwalter’, ‘Swiss bank account’ or similar key words. The ranking list of the top 100 key words provided us with valuable information for the future Internet marketing of our portal.

80 percent of all visitors were from abroad

The majority of visitors came from countries that traditionally have a close affinity to Swiss private banking. This is of particular interest to our bankers, as without banking licenses in the respective countries they are not permitted to actively canvas customers locally.

Visitors to Switzerbank.com: One third came from Germany.

First new clients generated

It works: Investors are able to find bankers online

Within the space of four weeks of going live, the majority of those asset managers profiled had already registered specific enquiries or initial meetings with prospective new clients.

Initial deposit: CHF 1,000,000

Prospective customers included perfectly qualified private investors. In one specific case known to us, the enquiry concerned an initial deposit of 1 million Swiss francs.

‘10vor10’ feature

The TV news magazine ‘10vor10’ documented how independent investment consultant Raoul Hinder from Portfolio Consulting AG finds new clients via Switzerbank.com. The feature is scheduled for broadcasting in the next few days.

Raoul Hinder is very pleased about Switzerbank.com’s flying start.

Who will cash in on jaded clients?

2008 could well go down as the year that sees the greatest redistribution of private clients in the history of Swiss banking.

There are scores of private clients who have already inwardly written-off their bank, but keep putting off actually switching financial institutions. A new private banking relationship is not something you enter into lightly. A change of banks means administrative and emotional effort.

I want out! But where to?

There is also a lack of suitable guidance on how to avoid jumping from the frying pan into the fire. A trustworthy search portal featuring informative and comparable advisor profiles of banks and asset managers is a welcome innovation in times like these.

Private investors looking for a change are looking for a new asset manager. Anyone searching via Google will find the search portal Switzerbank.com.

Survival of the fittest

Fifty percent of all asset managers are at risk.

According to industry pundits almost half of all Swiss asset managers will disappear from the market over the next few years. Which companies will survive?

Internet marketing: An abundance of clients, but very few competitors

Open-minded asset managers are now beginning to integrate the new Internet tools into their business processes in order to exploit customer potential that has to date hardly been contested. A few years ago, many mostly older real estate broker ‘pros’ missed the boat, because they failed, or refused, to switch to the ‘homegate’ era.

Over the past 15 years the number of asset managers has increased fivefold.
